December Again

Checking the Camp Northstar Weather Dial, I noticed it was that time of year again. Yep, time to throw sheets over the citrus to keep the frost off and write that letter to Santa. I was lucky enough to snap this shot of him as he left the squadron kid’s party Saturday.

Thought I would fess up a couple shots of color from the back forty (forty inches, that is) at the Tiny House.

That hummingbird is eyeing up Santa's beard. It's no wonder that Santa looks really nervous ... like he can't wait to get the hell out of there. Of course this may be due to the fact that he just spent the afternoon with a crowd of shouting kids. ;)

I'm getting a headache just thinking about it.

Lovely pics. We are getting storm after storm here. Fancy swapping the humming bird for a red robin or two?

Hi! nice picture of the Humming bird. I love those little guys! Unfortunatly, so does my cat. I guess that's one nice thing about dogs, they don't eat birds.

Yes, it's in the 20's outside right now. And we've been forced to turn on the furnace, rather than using space heaters all over the house. Damn oil company, charging an arm and a freaking leg!

FS: Thanks for stopping by - nice to see you out and about. Hope you are doing well!!!

Dan: The kids were really good this year. I really enjoy the short time I spent with them. The operative word being short.

The only time humming birds make me nervous is when I am changing out feeders and apparently not moving fast enough to suit them.

Timmy: Live in Clovis for a bit, too much winter. I know that is in NM, but it is just like part of West Texas, except the roads in NM are worse and the people have fewer teeth.

Fuff:Some places here Robins are a sign of Spring. In AZ the main harbinger of Spring is grampy and grandma loading up the motor home and heading back North.

KNN: Thanks! How’s the Weather by you, aside from sandy? I spent some time in your neck of the woods not so long ago, now you all can complain about Wx, it was hot while I was there. Odd how the wind blowing just made things hotter!!

LP: Glad to see you back! Thanks for the comment!!

l>t:We are lucky – so far the hummers seem to be beneath the huskies interest – maybe the dogs figure they wouldn’t even make a mouthful. Aside form digging pits around the base of the feeder Yukon and Austrella don’t seem to bother with the birds

Becky:20’s that centigrade, right? I thought life ceased to exist below 30F…

ajay: Thanks!
