No Dangling Chads

Well, the votes are in – ours anyway. Thank the sprit of referendums future for coming up with mail in ballots. Unfortunately the crap on TV and in our mailboxes is still getting pretty intense. There are some nasty allegations and a strong misinformation campaigns being waged and no one seems to be stepping in and saying enough is enough. My senate choices, for instance, have been leveling serious allegations of tax evasion and links with fallen lobbyists at each other. I couldn’t in good conscience vote for either, so yes l>t, I pissed my vote away on a Libertarian. I think the Libertarians have the right idea, less government. I could really use a lot less government around 15 April each year.

I did cross party lines and vote for our current governor. She has done a pretty good job and has refused to air negative ads. That was any easy choice.

Well, whether you’re a horrid vote pissing cynic as I am, apparently, or an enlightened voter as some of the others in the blogsphere do vote, its not a privilege it is an obligation.

I got the lecture about voting is an obligation from my mom last night too when she asked who I was voting for and i told her I never bothered to get registered. So one of these days I will have to go and do that but I HATE POLITICS!!!!!!!!!!

DAK Politics are ok, it’s the politicians that have gone bad. Your birth country went through a rather rough time in the not too distant past because folks weren’t paying attention. That can happen here as well – some insist it already has.

HDWKI am not sure... Are these business cards or greeting cards? I will bet it is a lot cheaper to get it done in India though...

Here's the URL for the Braille Institue, they may have some info:

PK, I can't believe y'all voted down the random million dollars to a voter! I mean, c'mon, that's a lot of buckeroos! On the other hand, at last half would go back to the government, and the other half to the scammers. Hmmm. Ok, I take back my words. :-)

I think it should be mandatory for all citizens to vote. There's really no excuse not to because there are so many ways one could vote without having to go to the voting booth. If military personnel and others who are out of the country can take the time to participate, then those who are actually in the country should do no less.
