KAET Cooks: E is for Entertaining

And entertaining it was.  I had a great time cooking on TV.  Everyone at the station was so nice, and made sure I was where I need to be when I needed to be there. There were several other cooks; it was nice to meet them and just chat.   It was a great opportunity to see some of the other dishes, though ironically I didn’t see much of the show.  Even the host enjoyed the fish.

I have got to find out where I can get a job cooking on TV – that was a real hoot.  I’ll be receiving a DVD with the show and have to try to figure out a way to post a clip with UTube or something.  Meanwhile, I was presented with a nice Apron and KAET cookbook out of the deal, plus it was just about the best fun I have ever had standing up.

I think you'd make an AWESOME cooking show host, course, that's assuming you are as witty in person as you are on the blog...?

Keshi: I don’t think many people saw it – the show was on a local Public broadcast station

Jin: I don’t know how I did – still waiting for a copy of the show, but it felt good. It was so much fun.

l>t: Believe I was on TV or believe I can cook?

DM: Hey dude! Glad to hear from you. It was a hoot!!!

Fuff: It was sort of stunt cooking – I had a completed dish waiting in the wings, I just did some of the prep and assembly for the show, then we pulled out the completed dish. I had several cooked up ahead of time, and the hosts and volunteers all got a taste.

Katy: As soon as I get the DVD, should be any day now. I did get the apron and the cookbook, so I have that going for me, which is nice.

FS: I got about 10 of my 15 minutes of fame. The good thing is that it didn’t involve Jerry Springer or any lawyers.

Foodcrazee: I was thinking of you today – I was over at the Singapore squadron and they had some serious curry going on for lunch. It was like being in a restaurant!!

I used to want to be an improv chef for TV.

Phos, I found this link and thought of you.

Oooooooh fabulous! I can't wait to see it!! *squeal*

Glad it went so well! What did the others cook?

CS: That would really be a dream job! Food Network is having another "You can be a Star" competition so you have a shot. I think you'd be good at it.

Cherry: There was a Muffalata salad, warm duck salad, a couple desserts - I am not sure of some of the others as I didn't get to see much of the show, oddly enough.

I believe you of course. On both counts.

Well I don't know about the cooking part.
My husband claims he can cook, too. He has 3 recipes & makes them exclusivly. So you could say he is pretty good at those three. How many do you have?

l>t: I make a lot of different things. Sometimes Mediterranean, some times German, oriental (one of my favorites) or something for the grill. This weekend I am making beef Rouladens. I like to try different dishes and usually do pretty well.

Jin: Is your mom looking to adopt? With the chances of winning the lottery always being compared to being struck by lightning, advise your mom to stay inside during thunderstorms!! Congrats to your mom!!

Waiting with baited breath to see the video clip. In the meantime, how about a piccy of the apron and KAET cookbook? Or something. A morsel, Phos, a mere morsel if you please!

EC: I have to get off my backcside and actually post something - just haven't been feeling very clever the past couple of days. Hopefully a quiet weekend will help me recharge a bit.

HDWK: I started cooking on my return from Korea and have been cooking ever since. It is nice knowing exactly what is in the food, including MSG.
