Halo incarnates

Remembering now that grandfather was brave. served pacific fleet in WWII.

Father-monster-abuser was a coward. dodged draft.

We wanted to serve. tried. recruiter didn't allow. recruiter asked for medical file. said having many people in one body was not good.

am glad for brave grandfather. honor. thinking of him.

POW - something from my childhood. We used to wear the name of the missing solider stamped on a bracelet. I like that you only use a few pictures.

Happy MM.

Great photo. Reminds me of my Grandpa who was in WWII. He didn't talk about it much but the stories he told were very interesting to listen to.

Phos What is "POW*MIA?

At 9:48 PM, Blogger The Phosgene Kid said...

Thanks all!! MIA is Missing In Action and POW is Prisoner of War...

I'll say it: POW/MIA is also synonomous with lives our Government all too willingly threw away and abandoned. Thank God our soldiers know better, and thru them now some of our citizenship too. Bless you and yours, Phos.
