Hot Time in the City

Made it up to 109 today. It was real enjoyable walking from squadron to squadron in the great out of doors. I wear a broad brimmed hat to protect my bald noggin from the UV rays, but even that wasn't helping much. I should clean up the back yard tonight, but I will see if it cools a bit first. Happy Monday everyone!!!!!!!!!

Smart dog. It's hot here too. Not as hot as it is where you're at, though.

I'm jealous!!! It only made it to 55 degrees here today! It has been cold all week. I'm still wearing sweaters! That's it! I'm coming for a visit.

ll: lots of smoke down there. I saw Miami on the news and it was awful. The everglades fires are pretty bad I guess.

du: Come by anytime. It is supposed to drop into the 80s by the end of the week.

Beautiful cactus bloom! I'd be droopin' in those temps!

If you have 109 degrees in May, how hot will it get in the summer?

Carol: 110 - 115+

Pretty much the same temperatures here too. With 90% humidity. I melt.

I remember my flip flops melting in phoenix if I stood too long on that pavement. Truly a genius dog.

PS - love your flower photo (as usual) and the thermometer is quite retro looking. cool! (actually, hot, I know)

....and from Indiana, we be wondering if Summer's coming or not.
Been cold enough for me to turn on a lil fire in the mornings.

So, I love the thermometer you got (and the temp, too!)
and the flower's a beautiful thing!
But the dog?
Tell ya what. Give him an extra ice cube from his uncle boneman. Oh, heck.
Make it a double! On the house!

I can take the heat, but my partner (Doug) sure can't. I don't mind 100 degrees if it's not too humid. Of course, I was a roofer earlier in my incarnation.

this whole state is on fire it seems. It's getting very smoky. We're having rain, so hopefully it'll help.

Either the weather forecasters are a bunch of liars or my weather station is a worthless hunk of circuits and plastic, because it says 113F.

I go with lying forecasters--based on experience.

yikes .. hot!
it sometimes gets to be 100 around here..
but then it's always uncomfortably muggy too.
the hottest place i've lived where temps would reach 105 was texas.. and they had the beautiful blooming cacti too.
