Hot Time at the Tiny House

Just got done writing about spring at the Tiny House and happened to glance at the Camp Northstar weather dial and noticed it the needle was rising rapidly. I checked it with my snappy-dappy indoor outdoor digital thermometer and both concurred that it was 98. If we had spring ti was about 3AM this morning and we have leapt right into summer. On the other hand, if this is a spring time temp, summer is going to be a real bitch!

The rose bush seems to be enjoying the heat, however…

We have finally got some relief from rain & have beautiful spring weather here. No roses yet.

The one you've pictured is beautiful.

Is it a Peace rose?

That's 36 degress celsius!!! Now that's HOT!! We get up to 30, we think we're dying!! I like around 28 - but if I was just lazing next to a pool or the river or beach, I could cope with 36...I remember being on a train in Turkey once and it was 40degrees - that was TORTURE!!

Good luck - hope it doesn't get toooo much hotter! :)

l>t: I think it is a peace rose. I wanted Lady Banks, the yellow climbers, but they didn't have any. I want to plant another rose in the yard, maybe I can find a Lady Banks this year.

fuff: Think it is time to slap the global warming critics upside the head. Wiht EL Nino collapsing and the possibility of La Nina I expect this summer is going to be long and hot.

kbHot is hot whether you are in the land of Celsius or the land of Fahrenheit.

Hey Phos...
Having trouble with my blog here in the land of Indi- with snow still in places here and there- can't wait to send you a pic.
My Grandmother lives here- and that's why I came...and
her sister died- so- I'm here for that reason too.
Love your roses :)

I am the ever dutiful Grand-daughter...not because I have to be, but because I love my Grandmother-
I hope she will consider moving south with me, but she's 81 and moving is hard on someone that age.
This was more than you needed to know- wasn't it? :)
Have a great week~ I'll be home on Thursday :)

Nice rose! I can smell it even with my stuffed up nose!

Kirsten: I did a Spring in Kuwait – it was just windier, wind mixed with lots of sand.

hammer: I’d like to plant another back there… I think the weather is whacky all over!

DM: Sick from playing with diseased Norwegian “Birds”, eh? Hope you are feeling better and don’t have the dreaded Fjord-Flu.

DAK:It is just to early for these kinds of temps!!!

Man Pensacola Florida right now is like being in Hawaii. It is, right now, the very best time of year.

About 73f, light south wind off the Gulf of Mexico, and my Citrus trees are blooming giving out the most intense smell. I am in heaven when I can get out of work hell.

I think might need to plant a rose this year eh? I was just about to put a bunch of new Elephant Ears in the ground. I don't guess they live long u north eh?!

SL: It should be against the law

EC:Think the mask is hot? Yo should try the whole suit!

Gnat:Elephant ears? you plant those? I thought they came for the bakery...
