Where Have You Been??

Here's a rare glimpse into the chaos that is life with huskies. I managed to tape the greeting ceremony that occurs everytime we come home from work...

At least the huskies say hello before asking to be let out.

Aren't they great, I love dogs...they love us so much..and ask for realitively little.

Such unconditional love..

I speak a bit of Huskie and I distinctly heard each of them say "Get some frigging food in that bowl right now Mister!"

And they said this repeatedly with rising pitch and volume.

It's always nice when your greeted with love when you come home !

The one dog looks like she's(?) part shepard . She (?) looks like the smart one . Those eyes tell a lot about her (?) .
The other guy (?) looks like a Malamute is he ?

We had a Husky , man they're runners eh ?

Jin: 'Strella Dog will put up with photography for a while, then she gives you "the look" meaning that's enough. I don’t think either of them has the video camera figured out yet, I keep pointing it and there is no flash.

carmaena: No worries, when I played it back both dogs were in here trying to find out who was barking.

lele:Ours are pretty demanding – Yukon likes to woo when he figures it is time to make popcorn, if that doesn’t work he takes one of his huge paws and rakes your leg. If you continue to ignore him he goes for the negative attention and will actually stick his head into the garbage right in front of you.

Dan: They usually don’t start he dinner riff until sometime around 5PM. This was more the “hi how are you, where have you been and why didn’t you take me too”? kind of thing.

WC: Austrella is definitely the brains of the outfit. Yukon will look at her to see if he is supposed to be excited or not when we mention going for a walk. She is probably part Sheppard, but I am not sure – we got her from the humane society and they didn’t have much on her aside from the fact she was seized by the county from a house with 109 animals. Yukon is also a mix of some sort –possibly husky/malamute. He has some of the characteristics of both. He is 85 pounds of stupid wrapped in fur, as I like to say and we found him on the husky rescue internet site. There are tow things you should never shop for on the internet – a prospective mate or a dog. He is a good boy, but very vocal and makes a point of letting all the other dogs know he is the boss.

One of your guys look like he has a Sean Penn streak running through him or her. "Get that camera outta my face or I'll run around the house so much I'll turn into butter!"

FS: They have to run and around, barking and howling then give me a thorough sniff when I get home. I just captured some of the bedlam on film.

nanuk: Neither is as camera happy as our first dog. These two won't play the dress the dog up for the picture game.
