Keshi: He actually did a lot for animals, particularly in Australia. I just wasn’t keen on having to see him screw around with venomous snakes and other dangerous creatures when he had such a lovely family.
It is sad when anyone passes. I am not surprised though as he often put himself in harms way. That was his choice. He gambled with his life over and over again. We all do. It would have been ironic if he died in a more conventional way. I'm sure the comics will be making a lot of jokes about it.
Jin: I don't think he did much with the non-meat eaters on TV - never seen a croccie chowing down on tofu...
LP: There are chances you have to take and others you don’t - pissing off lethal reptiles for a TV show is one of the chances you can take a pass on. Look at Marlin Perkins (Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom) he filmed the animals without getting in their faces - he had Jim to do that! Wonder if Jim survived, last time I saw Jim he was wrestling a huge python in a pond.
Point is I have to wonder how the python/sting ray/whatever felt about someone well within its personal space? Seems few tend to see things through the poor beasties eyes.
Kiddo yes he took that BIG risk. But he loved and enjoyed doing what he did. Not many ppl r like that these days. He was larger than life. I so cant believe it still.
Keshi: You right, mom always said do what you do best. My brother and I were always teasing the snakes at the zoo so that if they could get out of their case they would bite us, we just never followed through, I guess.
my fave one was where he went to see the komodo dragons and he nearly shat himself when one chased him. He had to run up a tree and stay there all whilst exclaiming 'Blimey! Caw! ' hahahaha.
I always thought he was batshit crazy in a funny way. Then I saw him in the cage feeding a 12 foot croc with his 7 month old kid in his hands and just could come up with nothing but "what your thinking right now".
That being said, I though he did a lot for animals, education, and he was interesting to watch. I for one would never wish what happend to him on anyone. He will be missed by a lot of people and that says something about that guy.
That guy was a careless asshole . A couple of months ago he went into an crocodile compound and fed a croc while hold'n his infant son . A total fuck'n asshole who though he knew sumthin . Guess what he knew noth'n !
I swam with rays last year and the first thing you learn is "Don't Jump In" ! What a dick ! I watched his show as he swam with "Salty's" . He had a death wish .
Not to be cruel or anything, but what a fitting end. It would have been rather heartbreaking if he would have died an old and fortotten footnote in TV-land at a nursing home unable to control his own bodily functions.

So sad, if I remember correctly he had a real young kid too.
