Nation of Cowards

Our erstwhile new Attorney General, the first African American Attorney General, figured his appointment merited a stab at the citizens of the US, and I can only assume, just the white ones. He called us a nation of cowards when it came to discussing race in the US. Apparently a couple of people in his immediate lineage had no trouble with race issues judging from his appearance, but if he is convinced we are all cowards, and he is the attorney General, he must be right.

So it is only fitting that I apologize on the part of white folk everywhere. Sorry for the slavery stuff, sorry we took your land, sorry about Custer, sorry about the holocaust, sorry that your people are:

misunderstood
downtrodden
unfairly treated
unloved
unwanted
poor
jobless
homeless
illiterate
undereducated
ignored by the system
whatever

There, we're over the apology crap now lets move on and instead of contributing to the problems or standing in a corner bitching, try to solve them together. By the way, anyone that has to have some condition placed in front of the word American, say "African American" has missed the point.

Holder belongs to a cult that believes that White Christian racism is the ONLY racism. Obama's former "church" taught the same theory as do most Colleges that have a useless taxpayer-paid "African-American Studies" major available.

Remember when people of Korean descent were targeted by black mobs during the Rodney King riots?

Current "African-American Studies" textbooks blame that and all other examples of inter-minority violence on ONE thing.

White Christian racism!

Care to take a guess what they blame for the current situation in The Sudan?

boo-ya Troll. of course they NEVER say anyhting about muslim blacks vs christian (or any other faith) blacks before gun grabbing Eric Holder called us cowards the benediction given by rev. lowry set the tone:

".. help us work for that day when black will not be asked to give back, when brown can stick around, when yellow will be mellow, when the red man can get ahead, man, and when white will embrace what is right."

kinda hurts my feelings considering my years teaching in all black public schools in atlanta; often paying out of pocket for my kids needs and materials; my volunteer work at hoseas feed the hungry on Thanksgiving...etc etc etc.

you can never transcend history according to these guys.

....and, of course, I wonder what the new president had to say to him behind closed doors?
I'll make a guess that he jumped him.

The lines of communication are still open, there, unlike the nazi we just kicked out.

I do think racism is a dead horse. Minorities have the same opportunities as whites. What needs to happen, however, is to stop having public schools have their funding based on property taxes. Poor neighborhoods tend to be mostly minority neighborhoods and thus they get crappy schools because the neighborhoods are poor. Because the schools are crappy, the students get a crappy education and low-paying jobs, and thus is a self-sustaining cycle.

That isn't *racism* but it has the same effect as if it *was* racism.

I forgot, but, I actually had a different reason to come over here this morning.
The huskies!
Insulation has an R factor, and it doesn't stand for much other than resistence to heat.
Thing is, if it's the Sun bearing down that makes the ground so danged HOT, then a small shelter (I can draw the plans with my corel draw and post it at...Polar diaries, and tell you when it's up) would do well to keep a small area from peaking at high temps.
Then, perhaps a set of blue ices packs could possibly keep dog(s?) a bit more comfy?

Ol' Steve has a bunch of wine here, though we don't have AC in the house. But, I keep it fairly close to 70 degrees in the closet with insulation on the walls and roof, and poking in some blue ices twice a day.

So....what'dya think of the ride I'm sporting? Isn't mine, but, dang! I may try to round one up and sell rides in the big city this year. (if I don't die of being too old to pedal, first, that is....HA!)

Yukon has his own box fan, he lounges in front of it on the tile. Austrella has short fur and lies out in the sun.

K9,

Ah you poor pup. If you'd met a troll in your youth, he could have spared you from learning the hard way.
