There and Back Again

Ok, not a very original title, but I am still trying to catch up from the trip to Tucson. It was a hoot to say the least, in fact I tried to talk Mrs. Phos into staying another day. All for naught and I was back at work bright and early this morning. Our grandson has grown by leaps and bounds, tlaks really well for a two year old and repeats everything that is said. Needless to say Ol' Phos had to watch his language around the tyke. I don't want to be the one to teach him the 7 bad words (13 if you're a sailor).

I cooked up a bunch of food including red beans and rice, ribs, hot legs (like hot wings 'cept different), and some refried beans. That stuff was frozen for later so they wouldn;t have to cook too much after we left. Even got lucky and scored some cheap porterhouse steaks, grilled those up and served 'em with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Not too bad. Stayed up to all hours playign video games and watching U-Tube (Angry Video Game nerd and Is it a Good Idea to Microwave This are a hoot) and had such a good time I really didn't want to leave.

I did miss you all and plan to come by and pay a visit tomorrow!!!

Lovely photo Phossy, so glad you're back and that you had a great time in Tucson with your grandson,
daughter and her husband.
Two is a great age, my granddaughter has just turned two she is gorgeous and so much fun to play with.
Gosh you're a good Dad, I wish someone would cook some meals for me and freeze them so I didn't have to cook so much.
Again, nice to have you back. ♥

Half a moon?
You only show us half a moon?
I mean, you were in TUSCON, dude! I would have thought you'de get a whole moon from the big city!

Well, I guess it'll have to do, eh?
Maybe later this month?
(and don't go out onto the desert and drop your drawers, either. None of us want to see that!)

(Well, except for Mrs Phos, I reckon)

A grandpa, eh?
I want to laugh.
My brain is set to poke some 'old man' humor atcha, but.....
My daughter is twenty-one and way too srious about the guy she's dating, so, I ain't up to nothing but holding my breath....
(get through college, lil girl. get through college, lil girl.
get through college, lil girl...)

that's my mantra.

What an awesome daytime moon shot Phos! Welcome back ... Tucson, eh? I'd love to visit Tucson, maybe even Phoenix (my namesake? teehee!) sometime.

Tucson was a hoot. As far as the half moon, aside form the fact it is very difficult to get a picture of a full moon because of the light, I have to go with what nature deals.

I find it hard to believe I am a grandfather, and will have a second grandchild in the not too distant future. I don't feel very old - according to Mrs. Phos I act like a three year old and since she is always right I suspect I am still quite young. At least being a three year old allows me to really connect with my grandson.

EC, you want to drop down for a visit, just give me a skulls-up and I we'd be happy to have you. Won't even make you wash the dishes like some other bloggers you have visited.

Lovely photo of the moon Phos. Glad you had a nice time away. Checked out your Youtube recommendations - like the microwave one, couldn't find the other.

Ta for visiting my blog - my poor neglected blog.

Email me if you'd like me to send you a DVD? =)
