More IR

Tried taking some photos in the early morning with an IR filter. I have ordered a neutral density filter as well to limit the amount of light our desert sun bounces through the lens so I can take some pictures in broad daylight.

k9: I like to look at the world form different aspects from time to time. I am anxious to take some IR shots up in the White Tank Mountains.

too cool - so do you have a separate room to store all your photo equipment in???????????

the contrast
and color is odd
but kind of cool, too

the ND filter will give you a bit more control -- look forward to seeing what you do with that, and with the mountain shots

and skies, too, of course

hdwk: Thanks! The aircraft display at the air base is one of my favorite test areas. The subjects always like to pose.

sj: Kind of hot!

dak: I actually do have a separate room, though I suspect if I collect anything more photo-wise Mrs. Phos is going to collect my head on a stick.

/t.: Trying to get ti all figured out is most of the fun. I suspect that is why I enjoy using some of the older cameras just to see what they can do.

Planes really are pretty awesome! Maybe I'll become a pilot yet, plenty of time.

foam: I've always been curious about things, almost to the point of burning down the house once. I grew out of that stage, fortunately, and now enjoy tinkering with less potential disastrous things.

Becky: No reason why not. Each class of pilots that comes through the F-16 school has more and more females. I have worked with a few seasoned women vets as well; they are excellent pilots and often beat the men in bombing and air-to-air competitions.
