Taking Back the Night

I have been experimenting with some IR photography. Been photographing at night - as soon as a filter I ordered gets here I am going to try for some IR shots during the day.

My dogs would be dead if they got up on the bed! The boudoir is off limits to all animals. My dogs always smell though, no matter how much I clean them.

I don't tell an animal with half inch fangs anything it doesn't want to hear.

Pretty. That white tree looks Christmassy.

Why on earth are you experimenting with IR? Is there something we should know?

Indigo Incarnate

Back when I was a roofer, we used to have an IR camera for detecting roof leaks (since heat transmits more freely through water-damaged roof insulation). I thought it was pretty cool. The rig also used liquid nitrogen, which is always a blast. It's fun to freeze things in liquid nitrogen and then smash them apart, hee hee!

i like how the ir look provides almost ummm hmmmm i guess you could say .. extrasensory perception, a different look to images you look at everyday.

It is fun looking at the world from different perspectives as well as different wavelengths.
