Thought this would be a good counterpoint to Troll's pictures. I included the last rather jarring picture of my new best neighbor to demonstrate where my love and affection for America's Super Store comes from. Everyone needs one of these in their back yard!!!
hammer: We'd lie down prone to shoot prairie dogs in South Dakota and baby prickly pear, which were hard to see just poking up through the gravel, would wind up sticking us no matter how careful we were - I still have some needles in me.

Ah, the ubiquitous Super Wal*Mart...We had FIVE of the bastids at last count - I think they're competing with Starbucks!! Happy MM, Kid!
They do seem to pop up where you least expect them...kinda like the Spanish Inquisition...Happy MM!
Beautifully framed pics. Wow, it looks bone-dry there! Even the Wal-Mart is brown. Happy MM.
I loves me some desert. Wal-Marts? Not so much. What are ya gonna do, though? Happy MM regardless!
It was all soooo pretty until that last shot. I love cactus. I don't like Walmart. Happy MM.

Happy MM all. I am going to hit your sites tomorrow night - long day today!!! We did get a tiny bit of rain...
I got one of those cacti in my hand once it swelled up about three times normal size.
Still better than going to wallmart ;)

I like to crash their shopping carts into the little corrals. I bent one once by shoving it so hard.
