Rockn' Out

Just a few pictures from the Deer valley Rock Art Center - here's a clue for you, it has nothing to do with music. Woody Whacker the Gnome went with us and showed little respect for the dignity of the area, but that's a tale for another day.

Yukon carries water for him and Austrella; he makes a great pack animal.

Roadrunner in the rocks. If you look carefully at the boulders to the bird's right you'll notice squiggly lines etched into the rock. This is the art in rock art. The lines were carved into the rock by Native Americans who have long since moved on.

Woody Whacker illustrates the reason why you never put your lips on the drinking fountain.

Guess who got a fisheye lens for his camera?

jin: Mrs Phos is the original Mommy Nofun. She has gotten quick though. Now when I try to snap a surprise shower picture all I come up with is shower curtain.

kirsten: There's just something about garden gnomes - they lend themselves to comedy. If you liked that one, you will love the one of him grinding corn!!

No wonder the native americans moved on if there's only this little bird to eat.

DM: The fisheye is a hoot. It slips right over the lens on my Canon Sureshot A520.

I think the place wasn't 1quite as sever in the days of the Indians, they actually had agriculture, but the climate changes from time to time andleft the area high and dry.

caramaena:God didn't make no ugly puppies!!
