What a Difference a Day Makes...

Nice day all together. Got the grill fired up and am roasting a tri-tip that has been marinated in olive oil, lemon juice, and oregano. Should be great if all goes well. The Tao of the grill makes everything all right.

What is this tri-tip you are roasting? Can you buy it at the butchers or do you have to hunt it? Does it taste like chicken?

The Tao of the grill? What's that?

Kirsten: You too, thanks!!

LL:It turned out pretty good. I sliced the roast fairly thin and made sandwiches. In fact, I had one for lunch with the leftovers. Po’k chop s tonight!!

nanuk: A beef tri-tip roast is a boneless cut of meat from the bottom sirloin. It is pretty bullet proof on the grill. I marinated the roast in olive oil, lemon juice and oregano over night and then grilled it at low temperature with indirect heat.

fuff: or a marital aid…
/.t: BBQ season is year ‘round for me, even when I am out in a blizzard trying to get the coals to catch. The only real problem is getting the meat form the grill to the table still warm. One way to solve the Wx problem is to grill inside, but that practice is frowned upon by various health organizations and the fire department.

Dan: You must become one with the grill and learn from the dancing smoke and sparkling embers. The tricky part is not burning the living bejesus out of the meat while you are deep in a meditative sate or trying to open another beer.

Thanks all. Mrs Phos restricts my access to the flame portion and no more starter fluid! She thought I was enjoying the massive fireballs a bit to much. I use a chimney style starter now.
