Hello World...

I turned yet another corner in life, this one most pleasant, and became a grandfather. I have been yakking incessantly on this subject for the past week, so I figure the least I could do is post a picture. The picture is great because it has not only my grandson, but my grand puppy as well. It will be interesting to see how the two hit it off – there will be some adjusting to the pecking order.

I get to meet the little rascal (rascality is hardwired into Phos DNA) in a couple weeks and I am looking forward to that meeting. Best of all I only have to hold him when is dry and stank free and can pass him off like the proverbial hot potato when he starts the all too familiar grimacing.

You ever notice how a new humab baby turns any dog, male or female, fully loaded or spayed, into the epitome of maternalness?

And congrats to you and your offspring. Best of luck on their "New Adventure".

The dog really looks like it is protecting the little guy. I swear if you reached for him there would be trouble you can just see it. Lovey dovey if I know you, loose a favorite apendage if I don't.

I can't think of a better heat source.

Awwwwwww, cuuuuuuute!! =D

Congrats and more congrats. My sister became a grandmother 2yrs ago and she is smitten and it's changed her - for the better - it's kind of like your hardwork as a parent pays off in this unbelievable and warming way.

Enjoy your visit!!!

chickie:Thanks. Hard to find a picture that can beat babies and doggies!!
jewels: I think the dog is actually plotting, since she has just been moved down a peg in the pecking order. I am sure they’ll be partners in crime before you know it. It is nice to have another suspect in the house so you can spread the blame.
Here is some great advice from Mrs Phos’s grandma – “don’t drown yourself in children”. For me it is “Don’t drown yourself in huskies”.

DM:Thanks! I think the little devil even has some Swiss in him somewhere along the line.

PH: Thanks for the wishes and thanks for dropping by.

nanuk: As long as the dog doesn’t take to carrying the kid around by the scruff of the neck we’ll be ok! Thanks for the wishes!!
tkk:Thanks! I don’t mind anon commenter’s as long as they add something constructive. Some folks don’t have their own Blog and just like to read other’s so usually no worries.

Gnat:I believe you are right. I’ve known the dog for several years and she still barks at me. But then I am a suspicious looking character. It may be the mask…

kb:Hello KB!! Thanks. I guess it is too late to throw him back!!
LL: Yes he is. I am not wrapped up in carrying on the Phos line so no worries, but it is kind of a kick after all…

ppd: I’ve been called “Gramps” already, it was my callsign when I taught at a tactics school, so I expect I will stick with that.
