Errata

I can be stubborn and a wee bit on the cross side, but I will admit when I have made a mistake. Last time I talked about animals being afraid of small appliances. While this is true to some extent, I have noticed that Yukon, who even heads for the hills when we get the dust mop out, has adopted a fan as his best friend. Normally Yukon is about as bright as a 10W bulb, but he figured a way to beat the heat. This is even better then kipping out in the tub, another fixture in the house feared by dogs, especially when filled with water. I stand corrected, animals and small appliances can form an uneasy friendship.

The fan in the picture is actually running full bore, but through the magic of still photography and the no red-eye feature on my camera it appears to be standing still. Any skeptics can check my electric bill and will discover that the fan is indeed on all the time. I am not going to tell an 85 pound animal with half-inch fangs he can’t have his fan!

I'm alive , however, I have now had 3 laptops officially die in my arms. The desk top is OK but I can't see or hear Sonnyboy in here. So I guess I'm on hold for now. I hate it. I feel so isolated and I miss everybody. Say hi for me ,gotta go.

Whew - glad Fairscape is OK. Thanks for checking on her Phos.

BTW - wise choice on not arguing with Yukon. However, I doubt he'd use those fangs on you. He may be only as bright as a 10W bulb - but I dare say he does know where his bread is buttered!

FS: I deal with "last-legs laptops" all the time at work, so I feel your pain. I have been keeping some four year olds running, but am slowly losing the battle. It doesn't help that they are on 24/7/365.

Hope things get fixed, thanks for the update, miss you!!!

EC: Maybe I am obsessive, but I check blogs in order and when one is missing I feel disturbed (more than usual).

Yukon and I got things pretty well sorted out the first time he growled at me, he may be dense but he has a good memory so I expect he won't try that again.

Can you give your dogs haircuts in the summer?

Not a good idea to shave dogs - their coats work both ways to insulate them from the hot as well as the cold. Besides dog's skin is very sensitve and exposing the skin with a short haircut will bring on a hell of a case of sunburn.
