Slow Lingering Death in Suburbia

Ok, I am hopped up on several Dr. Peppers and an energy booster drink, so I get a lot of strange thoughts. The energy booster seems to work pretty well, but I have enough caffeine in my system to kill a medium sized rhino. I've been told the stuff is bad for me, but there are times it is just tough for me to fully come around. A lack of any real exercise probably doesn't help, and the fact I don't sleep at night and am back to "cat napping" plays a big role in the problem.

Looks as though I will start work as the produce pogue at one of the local markets, not exactly a career I would have chosen, but a job is a job. It'll get me up and moving, which won't hurt and I won't have to make a special trip to the store to pick up fresh veggies, so I have that going for me, which is nice.

We get to meet Thor, a large Siberian Husky, on Sunday. We may adopt him. I miss having a big old boy dog around the house. Not too sure how Austrella is going to take to that, but she is pretty patient. I have ot admit I have really fallen in love with the breed, though as dogs go they are the biggets pests on the planet and don't even get me started on all the fur around the house. But then that is part of their charm, they leave a little of themselves everywhere they go.

Even started getting a little rain -- the winter rains are here. The associated storms tend to be a little less ferocious than the Monsoon storms, but we generally get a lot of moisture out of these in a good year. These rain laden clouds are the only thing coming over the border without a passport I like.

Anyway, this is the end of my energy drink induced ramblings, hope everyone is doing well. I am on Facial Book now as well -- I've noticed several of the Blogs I visit have become Facial Book orphans, as their authors spend more time on the networking site than they do on Blogger. This is kind of a shame as Blogger feels like a home while Facial Book seems more like the mall. Tough to talk and there's plenty of folks wandering around you just don't really want to meet.

well, if you got a little rain, you got twice as much as me, here.
Danged drought! We don't know if it's the well pup gone bad or he depth gone dry. And with Winter high on us, it's gotta be call the well boys. Only problem is keeping them away from their shovels. Code here is, if they dig at all, they have to drop a well "cap" and guard...to the tune of two grand.

OK, enough of my whining...now about your whining.
(that flooping boneman is gonna get that humor crap shoved up his butt one of these days!)

I have another Arizona boy on the blog roll, and if you haven't seen it, well...yeah. He's a mule boy. A white donkey. Doesn't think that much of Pelosi, but, from what I gathered, a hard Democrat.
Anyway...not bringing up politics except he finds some of the funniest stuff. Pretty sure the "A" word will catch your eye.
Today he mentioned new jobs down your way...applicants being reviewed for Redistricting Commission. I thought of you first off. You know...that sweet dispostition you have for politicians and all.
d=^))

Lately I've been stepping into land mine areas and shark infested waters at Huffington Post. Food fights everyday.

Now, there's something to cover...any chance you can get into a local high school and convince the kids to fire up a food fight? Take lots of pix...dang! Bound to be worth a story.

(yeah, like I said...where the Sun don't shine)

Oh, I make some friendlies, too. A Ranger and I almost fired up, but then, relaxed our grips long enough to be mellow to each other.
Well, except for one low shot.
The guy sounds like a career man, you know? At least ten years...maybe still at it.
He talks about his Dad being in V.N.

Geez...way to make a guy feel old!
And after all the work I went to to stay young and vital.
What work? Well, two fold.
I don't have any mirrors in the house at my face height, so, unless I see a face shot (no...that isn't a portrait of me in the avatar) I don't actually see any aging.
Two, well, I lie tyo myself as much as I think i can get away with it.
When practicing a golf swing, I remember my bosses words. Give yourself a good lie. So I tell myself I'm young, handsome, and wealthy.

My brother tells me that unemployment is at 100%.

Everybody is looking for a better job.

Glad to hear you have had some rain Phossy dear and I hope the temperatures have lowered a little.
I was watching the TV news tonight and it was very heartening to see sheep grazing in lush, green pastures, the 15year drought in country New South Wales has finally been broken because of steady rain.
Good luck with the new job, I hope you do enjoy it, at least you will be out of the house and be conversing with people.
I hope that beautful girl Austrella won't be too put out if you bring Thor home, she is kind of special. xoxoxo ♡

I sorta use both Blogger and Facebook. They are different tools to me. I use Blogger for longer missives that have lots of pictures. I use Facebook to write little bites of text.

Hi Phos. I ca think of no higher calling than helping people eat properly. My hat off to you. We have a couple of fruit and vegetable proprietors who have become celebrities in their own right up here. Maybe a new calling.

CPAP - is it still working for you? I have gone to APAP and I would highly recommend it providing your respirologist does as well.

And a new prospective pooch? Do you think there is a market for huskies out in the hot, dry Arizona sandscape? We have hundreds of pups born up here that don't make it through the first 3 months. Think about it.

Finally, Facebook - send me your coordinates via email.

We get the new husky tonight, Thor. Plenty of dogs down here too, Nanuk, unfortunately. We got Thor from the Husky rescue net, given up by his family for one reason or another. I wonder if I could import some of your pups? Mrs. Phos woudl kill me if I bring yet another husky into the house.

How's Austrella taking to Thor? We finally started letting Tiny Dog and Oliver stay in the same room during the day (I was afraid that Oliver would murder Tiny because she's annoys him.) and they've become buddies. It took a few weeks though.

I love your insight. It does feel more like home here, while facebook is more like wandering in a mall.
