I am still missing Sassy too its been 6 weeks. All i can tell you is that getting Boo was the best medicine i am sure there is a puppy somewhere that would love to join you guys and bring some howling back to the tiny house
I understand that the world stops spinning and an awful silence take place in life. Only thunder can for a short while brake the silence and spread some lightning to make us aware of that we still have to exist, even if our pet family-member makes noise elsewhere ... maybe in the sky ... as thunder and lightning, and it storms when they are running and haunting angels.
"chillin" out in Tucson? Seriously? Heard about the dog. Heck, I can't even begin to say sorry, dude. Fug three holes this past year, and the 16 year old shepherd is dragging his back feet when he walks. Pretty sure it's going to be another one any day BUT...he eats good. Whatever I get, he gets.
I do have an odd suggestion, though. Don't pick up another four legger for a bit. Dogs are good for the soul, it's true... but, you may be too soft with the recent event. Anyway...if you're going to do it right... and I mean this from the heart... it just has to be a chihuahua. They're Mexican...I'm sure there's one swimming across the river right now... (OK, that may be in bad taste, as I figure everyone has differing opinions on it and all)
(but still...greyhounds? not much coat, chase down food stuff. Chihuahuas, pull out critters from holes. or, a cat.)
OK, really though, sorry guy. Anything you need...just ask. Like maybe, boneman, STFU?..
Awww I'm sorry bud! It's funny how they come into our lives and we become like one with each other. It's really rich experiance, but it's a huge hole when they leave. Hurts.

I'm sorry to hear about Yukon. When one looses a pet it's very hard.
A couple of bummers. The worst one being the loss of Yukon. We still miss Hazel and she has been gone over two years.
Take care and find some joy in the most unlikely places.
That is some storm Phossy dear, plenty of rain and thunder, I like them except when they cause damage.
I'm so sorry to hear that Yukon has passed away, it is so terribly sad when we lose a beloved pet.
Take care dear friend.
