Crap

Sitting here at 9PM, the temp is still 105 and the humidity up to 24% and not a lick o' rain in sight. Like it or not we're in the monsoon season, but have more mon than soon so far.

I have to keep reminding myself it's a lot hotter in other people's deserts, especially this time of year (Kuwait really sucks in July, even more than usual). Also the winters are fairly mild and it doesn't snow - as I have said before snow sucks.

Worst of all Huskies get ripped off because the don't get a walk. I don't want them getting heat prostration, this is definitely not husky weather. All one can do is drink lots of water and keep out of the sun as much as possible. Good excuse not to mow the lawn anyway...

We could use it, though this is a desert we get a good share of what precip we get during the monsoons.

...silver lining coming up...

"Yeah, but it's a DRY heat!"

(sure. Just add a little wind and there's your world's first outside convection oven. You'll make a fortune)

I took Max out for a quick pee day before yesterday, and he stopped, and just slowly melted to the ground.
Dang!
Ran inside, got some water, grabbed a brush, went back out and babied him (first dragging him to the shade) till he could get up.
He knows that with me, it's either get up or I pick him up and he HATES that.

92 degrees and 80% humidity.

(Bad hoosier weather...Bad!)

Fortunately no lawn, I just cultivate rocks and some cactus. They don't mind the heat too much and the cactus helps keep the brats out of my yard.

Too hot for any dogs, but big woolly huskies (and lambs I'd guess) don't fare well at all. Yukon has his personal floor fan and some nice tile so he pretty much hangs out all day. Conversely my brother's dog gets "Frosty Paws" in the winter - we don't get that, just "hotpaws."

Always time for hotdogs - had chilidogs for lunch despite the 110 degree temps.

Chose crap, because that was the first thing out of my mouth when I found out were weren't going to get any rain.

Poor Phossy, I feel sorry for you in that heat, just the description is making me dread our coming summer heatwaves.
Keep yourself, Mrs Phos and the huskies cool and drink lots of water.
Forget about the lawn no sense in getting heat stroke, I hope you get some rain soon. xoxox ♡
