Fish

I started out with a Betta my wife had brought home and I named Freddy. About six Freddies later, I now have a 10Gallon aquarium that is home to Freddy number 7, two catfish, and two plocostomous. The fish don't ride for free, the bottom feeders are in there to clean the tank as well as amuse me. Rough deal, but there you have it. The driving force behind my sudden intrest in fish (lookin' at fish vice eatin' fish anyway) is my grandson. He likes to see the "fishies," and who am I to disappoint him??

I tried putting fish in a small tank in my son's room but one mean one kept eating all his friends.

The hannibal fish ended up living for about 5 years.

Been there done that, one fish turns into half a dozen then you have to get a bigger aquarium, lights, heater, filters, air bubbles, plants and guess who gets to do the cleaning, moi.
Then eventually after about 4 years and many fish replacements they all end up going to fishie heaven. ♡

I've always admired the plecostomus...I wish that someone would come up with a large model that could survive on dust bunnies...

I need to get a new Betta. He will be Pete the 8 (I think). One just hasn't jumped out at me yet. So the fishbowl sits empty.
