Air Show

I had hoped to get some photos at the Air Show on base - normally the commander opens the flight line for the base population the day prior to the official show, but I couldn't get any straight answers as to whether the lines was open or not. Not wanting to chance being thrown to the pavement by a couple burly Security Policemen, I decided it was best not to chance it, but did manage to snap a rather poor picture of a couple P-51s practicing their part of the show.

I figure I didn't miss much as the planes I did see parked on the ramp were the same ones they had last year, with the exception of the F-22. I do not feel like braving the crowds that will be out there today and tomorrow so maybe next year. I do want to venture down to the Pima County Air Museum, but seems I am anchored to Tiny House so don't know when I will ever get down there.

Too bad you missed the show.

I like getting up close to see those planes, especially the bombers and cargo planes.

haven't seen one in so long.
But, then, I also had about as close a look as I wanted for a long while.
The old Man was a big enthusiast (being a figter pilot over Japan, some of Korea, (that's when he got dropped out of the pilot's seat and ended in radar till discharge)

So, the best seats if the Old Man was busy or somewhere else?
In the dumster, of course!
Being a kid means not embarrassed to BE THERE!

Let's just hope the first plane doesn't back into the second plane.

I really enjoy airshows, flight is so amazing.
They had an open day at Sydney airport many years ago, long before 9/11 and before the world went on alert for terrorists.
I fought the crowd and took my children, they thought it was great, me too, we got to go on the planes and have a look around; I was amazed at how big they are close up. ♡

Is that Luke AFB? It reminds me a bit of Williams. I was stationed there back in the late 50's early 60's.

Phos...the reason they don't let me fly airplanes is, I figured out how to go backwards in them.
