My two favorite "airplane" movies are "Flight of the Phoenix" and "Airport 75". In "FotP", I just thought it was awesome how the German model airplane engineer designed a new airplane from the wreckage of the old one. and the best line in that movie was when he reprimanded the captain with "You act as though ignorance is a virtue. But you have elevated it to a bloody science!"
In Airport 75, who could forget Chuck Heston chewing the scenery, or the stewardess mumbling, "there's... no one left... to fly.. the plane!"
You must really like planes, because this is the first time I've seen you use more than one picture for MM. Great idea and I think I like them all. Happy MM.
these are great! phlight is phun!! happy MM. i honored one of your superb, and my personal favorite, phish photographs in my MM. i hope you approve and if not i will take it off.
I've always been fascinated with planes. How does something THAT huge get off the ground??? Ha ha. I love the one taken of the plane in flight against the blue sky.
Ive always been fascinated by aeroplanes. Must have something to do with my Dad being in the RAF and his obsession with all types. I can remember going to my first airshow and having my heart pound in my chest with the reverberation of the engine noise of some of the fighters - possibly a Tornado. Great stuff x
Some really beautiful plane photos Phos, do you take care of all of these? Airplanes and airports, make me think of far off destinations to where I hope to travel. ♥
Been around planes a good part of my life, never saw them bomb lambs, but do have a film of one rather unlucky jackrabbit at one of the ranges... I could still watch them fly all day long - fortunately I don't have to go far, the F-16's come right over out house on their way back to the air patch. Kind of a built in free air show every day. I still work at a base so in some ways it as though I never really left the Air Force.
Thanks to all for stopping by, and K9 I don't mind if you use anything off the site on your Blog...

What are the little single engines at the end? They look like some fun!
I like this black/white picture (nr 7). Gives me the feeling that this times are gone a long time ago...

Hope you are well and preparing for a fabulous Thanksgiving!!
Phos, I read about this 'Military recall' that's taking place over in the US. A mobilization of former military officers.
Can you confirm this (without being in trouble, off course) or is it just another rumour??
Super cool, Phos! Happy seriously belated MM!
