Endangered Animal Alert

Sea Weasel fur

I was shocked to see a local woman's craft store offering fur taken from the endangered North Pacific Sea Weasel. There are only ten of these rare animals left and eight of those are male. This is putting undue pressure on the only two females.

It is important to write your congressman and tell him to stop the illegal poaching of the Sea Weasel!

I have never heard of them Phossy, are they similar to a fur 'seal'?
That is terrible to think that there are only ten left and this woman is selling their fur at her craft store. Who is supposed to be taking care of these mammals? :(

geez...
Any woman that would wear fur from a live animal would also spread grease from a fast food joint on her face.

A weasel joke gone terribly wrong -- there's no such thing as a Northern Pacific Sea Weasel (or any sea weasel.) The fur is Thor's and he's still in it. No Sea Weasels were harmed in the making of this blog...

Ha! Ha! You are a funny fellow, pleased to hear that it was a joke and that no Sea Weasels are being threatened with extinction. :)

Foam: Thick fur, and I know a lady who spins the fur into yarn and knights sweaters, but you don't have to do the husky in for that.

Di: I have to be more careful, people don't always know how to take me, I am generally not terribly serious.

Yes, I knew a lady who collected the fur of her samoyeds. Actually the fur of TheMupsyMutt would be suitable for that too.
