two of the scariest weren't pictures so much as incidents. I seem to remember this particular incident...China shot down an airliner because it crossed into Chinese airspace.
One of Reagan's five major points to get re-elected was to not be 'bullied' by small countries (presumably Libya and Iran) ....but, looking in web archives, I have not found this incident. Similar, yes, but, information may have been (you're military, and understand) debriefed.
My ex-wife and I argued about it a lot, though...her contention being that we couldn't retaliate, mine being that a missile should have followed the flipping jet home no matter where it went.

I've been in a sazed state since having to put my best girl down. Gni Gni was a favorite, to be sure, in a house where favorites don't really rise.
you got me 'buzzed' with the chinese comment, and now the picture thing, and it got me out of my daze and back to my normal self.
Now if I could just figure out how to get Bush junior, Cheney, and Rumsfeld into court for murder (4200 men women and children just to boost their stock options) charges, I'de be as happy as a clam!

wait.. i like the pic, but whats with the comments? I dont get any of them?!
How do we ever really know... I will change my avatar to share with anyone (that I respect or like) an idea, and, Phos said something to the effect of Obama and the Chinese being in cahoots.

It was also a point to make about how, without more information, we didn't know what the white trees were in his photo.
