Back in the 100s

Looks as though summer has hit the desert, the temps look to be in the 100s for quite some time to come. On the bright side it should drive the snowbirds out of the state, so I have that going for me,which is nice. On the not so bright side yard work is going to be painful.

I miss walking outside and being surrounded by the Wasatch Mountains, they are quite breath taking. We do have mountains here and I used to be able to see them before all the building. The White Tank Mountains aren't far from Tiny House, but they look to be dry piles of rocks when compared to a range such as the Wasatch. Still the White Tanks have a charm of their own and the saguaro growing up the sides are quite a sight.

oh, heck, Phos.
I came running over 'cause I thought you found some BONES in the desert!
You know....like you saw at the museum!
Old sabre tooth tiger stuff!
COOL stuff.
Stuff we'de all pay good money to see Lil Lamb poke in her mouth and be the world's first, sabre toothed lamb.

WHICH WOULD LOOK COOL!
But, speaking of cool, you're talking temps.
Dang!
I could use a good temp job about right now.

100s, eh?
Still, the snows on that mountain are just begging for someone to go up there and make snow people...

That is a beautiful photo Phossy dear, one could be mistaken for thinking it was Switzerland no Utah.

Yes the warmer weather always means more work in the garden, sometimes I just dont feel like doing it.

Do the saguaro of which you speak have the white flowers?
They are such a pretty flower on something so prickly. ♡

Wish we could pipe a little of the cool Utah air down this way.

Those are beautiful! That's it, I have to finally go west and see these things in person.

Yep Phos, that's also what always gets to me when returning from the north: 30 degrees (celsius!) difference over those 2500 to 3000 km! I just find it far too hot when we return and it always takes me a while to get used to.

I've seen the Wasatch and they are beautiful.

We drove near the White Tanks last weekend. The sight of old, tall Saguaro cacti standing majestically erect is a sight to behold. They have a way of putting things into perspective.

Thanks for sharing.

Those are some nice looking mountains. I wouldn't mind some rain here - we are getting baked over here.

Indigo Incarnates

We usually get a brief period each year in Baltimore where it ggets to the 100s. But it lasts a few weeks, not a few months.

I can take heat better than soul-freezing cold.
