Dawgz

I was trying out a 50mm lens, took pictures of Yukon and Austrella and thought I'd share them with you. They were both out helping me watch the sunset last evening. Tonight they'll be out helping me grill...

They look like fine helpers! I love looking at Austrella's ears. They look like they'd be nice to rub absent-mindedly while watching t.v.

ll: They are indeed!

/t.: They are furry, the house is furry, my clothes are furry - lots of fur. Yukon is already spending quality time in front of his personal fan.

chickie: Austrella's fur is the softest fur I have ever come across. People think we use pantene on her or something, but that is the way she came.

As always like looking at your fine dawgz.

"....and who will help me eat the fine steaks off the grill...."

The top picture appears to be a portrait of "give-me-some-now" focus.
I know. I've seen that look.
Sorry for your fur...HA! We got four of the beggers and two cats to boot.
(no, really. We take turns booting them around the house...) (no...)
Not to mention two grown adult men losing hair faster'n y'wanna even think about it.

But, here's one for you....
Check out a small child's pool, dig a hole to fit it in, pour water in it, voill'a! A day at the beach for the dogs!

(dang! Feed him a bite before he starts drooling....oh no.
Too late....)

sj: thanks

boneman: Yukon digs his own pools. We have a really deep excavation under the lemon tree.

Somehow, I'm thinking they'll get more enjoyment outta helping you grill! ^_^

Oh wonderful! Is that what they call a 'prime' lens then?

Love the portrait of Yukon...like Boney says a real 'gimme some NOW!' look! LOL.

Its very important to have help on these important chores.

Can I help you grill too? I bet I can catch quicker than Yukon and Austrella if the steaks smell good enough!

Sassy is a good kitchen helper - she helped making me Maultaschen yesterday

maxxo: Hello, and welcome! They are pretty cuddly, even Yukon, but it has to be on his terms.

indigo: Thanks! Pink and foam have some wonderful shots. There are a lot of amazing artists, writers, jewelers, bakers, and just all around great folks in the Blogsphere - you are certainly one of them.

ec: Couldn't cook without 'em!!

Pink: Good question about the lens, I don't know. I just read it was good for portraits because of its depth of field, the subject remains in sharp focus while the background blurs. Eventually I want to get a 50mm Macro for some close shots.

dak: mmm, German food!! I miss the leiberkaise (sp?) it was sort of Germany's answer to spam, only it tastes good. Can't find any here.

They are lovely looking Your "wolves"
Have a Lovely Sunday grilling :-)

boneman: Thanks, that Wilma is a biscuit!!

Pink: I need to take a course as well, I am just learning from reading bits and pieces so I know a little of everything and a lot of nothing. Great if I was going on a quiz show, not so good for taking decent pictures.

Tagged twice makes me rag-tag, I think!!

a-l: thanks. The pups run the show here. I sometimes think Yukon might have a bit of wolf in him, the way he acts, but with his breed it is hard to tell. They didn't fall far from the tree.

Change of plan - I am braising and using the pressure cooker tonight. Making two meals (I like to cook ahead) red-cooked pork and shredded pork for burritos (made the beans last night).
